SHEET MILLING

Milling plexiglass sheets or other plastic materials (PVC, PHAD, PP, PA-POM) is an operation that cuts the panels using a milling cutter, allowing complex parts to be produced from a variety of polymers, together with thickness reductions, 3D transition surfaces and engravings for industrial and furnishing applications.
Bussetti & Mazza uses CNC milling machines with large-format worktables (2000 x 4000 mm and 1600 x 3700 mm) with 450 mm of clearance under the gantry.

How does sheet milling work?

In brief, how does this type of processing work? Starting from a rough piece, the plastic material is first cut to remove the excess, following the shape defined by the project. This makes it possible to quickly and precisely achieve the required shape, with a glossy finish on the cut edges, even in areas that would be hard to reach with traditional processing methods.
